As the Wiki article points out, a berry “is a simple fruit having seeds and pulp produced from a single ovary”. Which means these are berries:

  • Banana
  • Watermelon
  • Tomato

 

And these are not berries:

  • Cherry
  • Blackberry
  • Raspberry
  • Strawberry
  • Halle Berry
